Tennessee's State Parks
We interrupt this link with an important announcement. The Tennessee State Parks need your help. Due to some political BS, the state funding to the Tennessee park system got cut drastically, and with almost no advance notice, the park system had to do some serious "load shedding". As a result, 14 parks were closed outright, and almost all of the others were forced to close on Mondays and Tuesdays. See the story here. We were especially amused by the statement "it wasn't political". They were referring to fact that which parks got nailed wasn't political, but it was political bickering that caused the problem in the first place.
So do your part: go find a Tennessee Park that you like and spend some money! They had a special during the Winter 2002 season that you couldn't beat: pay for one night in a cabin, get the next night free! We added three Tennessee Parks to our list this March alone! But we will be back. In fact, son David and fiancee Rebecca are getting married at Cumberland Mountain State Park.
So, without further ado...
